In Ontario, we have a Cosmetic Pesticide Ban. People are finding new ways to deal with the weeds. The products that are allowed are nowhere as effective as the "old" ones.
When visiting a lawn the other day, I spoke to a manager of a Housing Co-op. She told me how she was able to make it fun for the children to pick a few weeds. Bring back a pail of weeds and you get a special prize. By involving the youngsters, the lawn had less weeds and the boys and girls got popsicles and ice cream. This way everyone wins!
Great idea. Great way to think outside the sandbox.
