April 27, 2015 found dandelions blooming. Of course, it was on a south facing slope. A southern exposure gets a lot do sun. And along the QEW, there are no trees or houses to shade this bank. A slope normally catches more sun than a flat area. And being in Stoney Creek the nearness to Lake Ontario likely means this area warms up faster than other parts of the city. In general, though, I would say that the spring is about a week behind normal. Of course, we seem to rarely get normal springs very often these days.
